No this is not a sight you see every day!
The Space Shuttle Endeavour mounted atop of a modified Boeing 747 in the skies of Los Angeles on September 21st 2012
Hi Beth, Yes we are in Sydney but it is about 10 hours south of Brisbane, your daughter sounds like she may be on our beautiful East coast but not in a major city. We are planning our family photos today, there still seems so much to do before her departure. Thanks for the chat. Maxine
Hi there, I was born and raised in Sydney. But last year I went on a holiday to LA and a cruise down the coast of Mexico. I have challenged myself to use only pics from that trip to fit Bella's prompts. Thank's for stopping by.
I am so impressed that you got this shot!!!! Time, place and camera at the ready. I remember seeing the same sight of the shuttle being 'piggy backed' into Heathrow. I sat in my back garden and watched it fly right above my head (one of the benefits of living right under the flight path). Alas, 1980's... no camera in hand...no photographic evidence... but a memory nonetheless!
thank you so much for stopping by my blog.....and i know how your heart must be feeling !!
ReplyDeleteso you're in sydney, right? i'm geographically challenged and all i know is that our daughter is 2.5 hours south of brisbane......
