If you ask most 21st Century kids they will tell you 'childhood games' is really code for 'childhood apps' but to us folk who were born last century, childhood games conjurers up memories of Elastics, Jacks and Mr Potato Head. This little vintage red wagon is the quintessential childhood toy, although I didn't ever own one I really appreciate its nostalgic value.

Just love the vintage look of it! And I as well have memories of elastics and climbing trees and just vanishing for whole afternoons! I had more freedom than my children!
ReplyDeleteoh, those days without the 'apps'! ha ha ha the motor skills of children in our generation are used more often to explore! :D
ReplyDeletethis is such a lovely thought and a lovely pic as well.

ReplyDeleteAnd I remember playing all those games and the endless exploring walkabouts as well as the red wagon.

Your photo brought back so many memories - we had wagons and made good use of them.
ReplyDeleteNothing like a radio flyer wagon to bring back childhood memories! Kids today have no idea what they've missed! LOL!
