Gallery 15 - Fresh

Is there nothing more lovely than fresh flowers - especially from your husband. These were sent by Tim for my birthday.

Gallery 14 - Down Below

Immaculately white, well groomed taxi drivers wait patiently 'down below' for opulent cruise ships to dock in their town of Puerto Vallarta. I watched them from my cabin balcony calmly playing cards, snacking, exchanging stories and chatting on the phone. As soon as the passengers disembarked the mood changed to one of competition as each driver boldly approached tourists with promises of cheap tours and day trips

Gallery 12 - I went for a walk and this is what I found

To escape the heat and hecticness of Hollywood I woke early and went for a walk. As I rounded the corner back to our hotel I found a flutter of roof top pigeons.

Gallery 10 - Neon Colour

One question and one question only?
Is there anything more Neon than Hollywood Boulevard after dark?

There is enough razzle dazzle, bling, neon and noise to satisfy anyones flamboyant urges!

Gallery 9 - Chopped

Tequila
I am not a tequila drinker but when one visits Mexico it is etiquette to try some. The tequila tasting experience was made even richer with a photographic opportunity. I was mesmerised by the eclectic collection of dusty bottles that lined the turquoise walls of the showroom. But back to this week's theme of 'chopped'. To make tequila, the leaves must first be chopped from the agave plant. After the leaves have been removed from the core of the plant, it is baked, mashed and fermented before pumped into wooden barrels to age. The tequila is sold in the most amazing array of different shaped and sized bottles.
Margarita anyone?
