Tequila
I am not a tequila drinker but when one visits Mexico it is etiquette to try some. The tequila tasting experience was made even richer with a photographic opportunity. I was mesmerised by the eclectic collection of dusty bottles that lined the turquoise walls of the showroom. But back to this week's theme of 'chopped'. To make tequila, the leaves must first be
chopped from the agave plant. After the leaves have been removed from the core of the plant, it is baked, mashed and fermented before pumped into wooden barrels to age. The tequila is sold in the most amazing array of different shaped and sized bottles.
Margarita anyone?
